Successful Microvascular Surgery at Wockhardt Hospital, Rajkot

A 35-year-old male patient suffering from non-healing ulcers on both sides of his lower jaw for the past 2-3 months underwent successful reconstructive surgery at Wockhardt Hospital, Rajkot. The surgery was performed by **Dr. Himanshu Koyani and Dr. Prashant Vanzar**, both highly skilled surgeons with expertise in microvascular reconstruction. Their dedication, precision, and patient-centric approach played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this complex surgery, helping the patient regain his quality of life.

After thorough clinical examination and investigations, doctors recommended a microvascular flap reconstruction for both sides of the jaw. Initially, a right-side ALT (Anterolateral Thigh) microvascular flap and a left-side fibula microvascular flap were planned. However, during surgery, it was found that the left mandible was intact, leading to a revised approach using a single left-side ALT microvascular flap for reconstruction on both sides.

The surgery was successfully completed, and the patient was kept under observation in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). He was mobilized on the fourth postoperative day and discharged in a stable condition on the seventh day.

Currently, the patient has completed radiation therapy and is doing well in his daily life. The medical team at Wockhardt Hospital is pleased with the outcome and remains committed to providing the best care to patients.
