Castrol India Limited, India’s premier lubricant manufacturer, has embarked on its next endeavour to empower Indian truck drivers with the launch of its purpose-led initiative, ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala’. The initiative is aimed at spurring entrepreneurial zeal and enhancing professional competencies of truck drivers with its on-ground leg targeted to upskill over 10,000 truckers across India. With two days of on-ground Paathshaalas in Ahmedabad, the ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala’ initiative has upskilled over (388) truck drivers through insightful and interactive knowledge sessions.
The initiative’s on-site camp in Ahmedabad comprised engaging educational and entertaining activities for truck drivers in the city. The knowledge sessions were organised to upskill truckers in four key aspects – Driving Safety, Truck Ownership, New Technology, and Business Profitability–empowering them to #BadhteRahoAagey.
Castrol India has consistently extended support for the progress and success of the trucking community which is instrumental in moving the wheels of the Indian economy. The ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala’ initiative, an extension of its recent marketing campaign ‘#BadhteRahoAagey’, helps reinforce the commitment.

The ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala’ initiative was supported by local transporters and associations in Ahmedabad such as Akhil Gujarat Transport Association. After the successful conclusion of the two-day programme, over (388) were honoured with certification of participation and reflective stickers that can be placed on their trucks, encouraging them to Drive Safe and #BadhteRahoAagey.
Mukeshbhai Dave, Executive President of the Akhil Gujarat Truck Transport Association, stated, “Presently, the nation is undergoing a substantial transformation in logistics and transportation, playing a crucial role in the supply chain. We find ourselves at a point where rapid advancements require all stakeholders to be equally prepared for imminent changes. The initiative ‘Pragati ki Paathshaala’ by Castrol in partnership with TV9 Network has commendably enhanced the skills of the trucking community. I am confident that this acquired knowledge will keep the drivers aligned with the evolving ecosystem.” He takes pride in stating that the drivers found the sessions highly informative, placing significant emphasis on and gaining valuable insights into safe driving, truck ownership, and upcoming technology.
The ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala, a two-and-a-half-month campaign, began from Ghaziabad (UP) and Kalamboli (Maharashtra) with two specially designed trucks taking different routes to cover all the four regions across India. Till now, the ‘Castrol CRB TURBOMAX Pragati Ki Paathshaala’ initiative has upskilled over 2,793 truck drivers during its journey.
