The S.V. Institute of Management, Kadi, managed by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, celebrated its annual function ‘Celebration of Success – 2025’ and ‘Oorja – The Talent Show’ with great enthusiasm. A key highlight of the event was the official poster launch of the upcoming Gujarati thriller film Shastra, unveiled in the presence of the students. With the tagline “You will be hacked!”, Shastra is set to release on May 1, 2025, and delves into the critical issue of rising cybercrimes in the digital era.
The lead cast of the film—Chetan Dhanani, Puja Joshi, Hemin Trivedi, and Priyal Bhatt—shared inspiring stories from their careers and discussed the film’s message with the students, leaving a lasting impression. The teaser and poster unveiling turned the moment into a memorable experience for all attendees.
Under the guidance of Chairman Shri Vallabhbhai Patel and in the presence of Senior Minister Shri Ramanbhai Patel, the event witnessed the participation of prominent industry leaders. Mr. Vimal Ambani, Founder and CEO of Tower Overseas Ltd., encouraged students to combine academics with practical awareness and to learn from the world around them.
Mr. Vivek Agrawal, Partner at EY Transport Consultancy, emphasized the importance of curiosity and the habit of asking questions to enhance one’s knowledge. Meanwhile, Mr. Anup Mehrotra, Vice President of Northstar Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the growing significance of health and medical research, urging students to contribute to the field of healthcare.
The presence of Shastra film’s lead cast again enriched the event, with the actors discussing their journeys in the film industry and motivating students through their experiences. Also present were Setu Media, PR partner for the event, and renowned Gujarati actor Maulik Chauhan.
The Oorja Talent Competition, part of the celebrations, saw enthusiastic participation from students in various categories including group dance, drama, singing, and fashion show. Esteemed judges Mr. Ritvij Joshi, music composer, and Ms. Devanshi Shah, Miss Gujarat 2025, added glamour to the event and boosted the morale of the participants.
Dr. Bhavin Pandya, Director of the Institute and Dean of the Management Faculty, presented the Annual Report, highlighting achievements in academics, research, results, and placements.
Notably, 20 top national and international companies were honored with Best Recruiter Awards, recognizing their contribution to student placements. Alumni who brought pride to the institute through their professional success—such as Mr. Jimmit Shah (Bank of Montreal, Canada), Mr. Umang Patel (Kenvue, USA), and Ms. Juhi Patel (Phoenix Accountants, Australia)—were felicitated with the International Excellence Award, alongside 25 other distinguished students for their outstanding performance in academics and co-curricular activities.
Senior Minister Shri Ramanbhai Patel acknowledged the glorious legacy of Sarva Vidyalaya and expressed satisfaction with the institute’s progress as reflected in the Annual Report. He extended congratulations to the entire institute family.
The event also saw the presence of Dr. Rupesh Vyas, Dean of the Computer Faculty at Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya, and Dr. Sanjay Shah, Director of Narsinhbhai Patel College of Computer Studies. The success of the event was credited to the dedicated efforts of Coordinator Dr. Preeti Salvi, faculty members, students, and support staff.
