Regarded as Gujarati cinema’s very first authentic musical love story and having earned immense love from viewers, the film ‘Prem Prakaran’ will be available for streaming as a special digital premiere on the JOJO app starting August 6, 2026.
Produced by Sanjay Bhatt and Kevin Bhatt, and written and directed by Chandresh Bhatt, the film revolves around the sensitive journey of a small-town ordinary youth, Aditya (Gaurav Paswala), his rise to becoming a rockstar, and his pursuit of love. Aditya makes every possible effort to win his first love, Aarti (Deeksha Joshi), but finds himself facing the pain of unrequited love. Years later, love takes a new turn in Adi’s life when it returns in a different form through the glamorous yet gentle Riya (Esha Kansara). In today’s era of swipe culture, this film serves as a refreshing reminder of old-school, selfless love and connects viewers back to their own long-lost true love.
The versatile performances of its lead cast have been a key pillar of the film’s success. Gaurav Paswala has effortlessly portrayed both sides of his role—from an innocent schoolboy to a celebrated national rockstar. Deeksha Joshi has brought complete authenticity to her role as Aarti, a small-town girl, nailing the Kathiyawadi dialect and accent to a T. Meanwhile, Esha Kansara, in her role as Riya, delivers a mature and captivating performance alongside her glamorous avatar.
The biggest highlight of the film is the music composed by acclaimed Bollywood music director Amit Trivedi and the soulful lyrics written by Niren Bhatt.
