Recently, the 54th International Film Festival was held in Goa, which was attended by many dignitaries. Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) Mr. Atul P. Patel met Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa. Atul P. Patel spoke to him regarding regional films should get subsidy during shooting in Goa.
In other states, subsidies are available during the shooting of regional films and the producers benefit greatly from this. He discussed that Goa is a preferred tourist destination for every city people, it has many good beaches where regional films can be shot. If they get the benefit of the stipulated subsidy, it will be beneficial to the producers as well as to the tourism industries of Goa.
After this proposal of Atul P Patel, Shri Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, said that we are already thinking about this and in the future we will definitely bring a policy that will benefit the regional cinema.
