Ahmedabad: Celebrating a significant milestone in its journey, Dastan Autoworld – The Pranlal Bhogilal Collection will commemorate its 25th anniversary with India’s first Car & Cinema Festival, scheduled from February 27 to March 1 at its premises in Kathwada. Conceived as a distinctive cultural initiative, the festival underscores the institution’s continued commitment to presenting automotive heritage in an engaging and meaningful manner.
The festival has been envisioned by the custodians of the collection, Mrs. Chamundeshwari Bhogilal Chinai and Mr. Brijesh Chinai, who continue to preserve and expand the legacy established over decades. Celebrating the enduring connection between engineering excellence and cinematic storytelling, the event brings together rare automobiles and acclaimed films within a thoughtfully curated setting. It offers a refined platform for automobile enthusiasts, film connoisseurs, collectors, corporate guests, and families alike.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Chamundeshwari Bhogilal Chinai said, “As we complete twenty-five years of Dastan Autoworld, we wished to create an experience that honours not only the craftsmanship of these remarkable automobiles but also the stories they have inspired on screen. Cars have always been more than machines; they are symbols of aspiration, innovation, and emotion. Through this festival, we invite audiences to witness that unique dialogue between engineering and cinema.”

A key highlight of the festival will be its carefully curated film schedule, illustrating how automobiles have shaped storytelling across global cinema.
Apart from the festival, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the museum’s celebrated vintage car collection, which comprises more than 100 rare and iconic automobiles. The collection includes distinguished marques such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lagonda, Maybach, Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz, Auburn, and several other exceptional vintage classics.
