There has been immense anticipation around the second season of ZEE5’s acclaimed show, ‘The Broken News’. Recently, the lead actors of the series, Sonali Bendre and Shriya Pilgaonkar visited Ahmedabad to promote the upcoming season. The electrifying trailer thatwas released early this month has left viewers eagerly guessing about the unfolding events and the release of the new season on 3rd May.Returning after a gap of two years, the new season will see the fight for ideologies between the two broadcast news channels, ‘Josh 24×7’ and ‘Awaz Bharti’ scale new heights. In this thrilling new season, the ‘sach’ versus ‘sansani’ battle escalates beyond the newsroom, evolving into a personal struggle for survival.
The upcoming season, produced by BBC Studios Productions India, will continue to capture the fictional lives, lies, loves, and struggles of journalists and their battle between truth and sensationalism. The upcoming chapter marks the homecoming of many actors such as Faisal Rashid, Indraneil Sengupta, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Taaruk Raina, among others. Additionally, the new season will see the entry of actors – Akshay Oberoi, Suchitra Pillai, and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan in pivotal roles.
