Fresh produce is the cornerstone to the success of HyFun Foods, and through this initiative, we aim to strengthen our commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients while empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture.”

The HyFarm venture will be farmer-facing and was launched today at an eventthat was held as a celebration of Hyfun Foods’completion of planned procurement of 300,000 tonnes of processing-grade potatoes from farmers this year. This makes HyFun Foods the largest Indian brand in procurement of processing varieties of potatoes. The event symbolized and celebrated the strong, enduring bond between HyFun Foods and its farming partners and the event also saw the brand identity for HyFarm being unveiled.

HyFarm epitomizes HyFun Foods’ unwavering commitment to harnessing India’s abundant fresh produce and building a backward integrated business model, with a goal of bringing 30,000 farmers into its fold by 2030. While previously focused on just processing-grade potatoes, HyFarm now plans to expand its procurement to encompass table and chipping varieties, setting sights on a procurement target of 1 million tonnes by 2028. Moving beyond potatoes, HyFarm is also gearing up to expand into procuring a diverse range of fresh fruits and vegetables, creating year-round opportunities for farmers beyond the conventional five-month potato season.

The HyFarm initiative doesn’t stop at procurement; it aims to build a thriving community of farmers empowered by cutting-edge technology. Through a robust digital platform, farmers will now gain access to the best agricultural practices, thus bolstering efficiency, productivity, and sustainability across the agricultural landscape.

A representative for the farmers at the event shared his perspective on the initiative, stating, “The HyFarm initiative is a game-changer for farmers. It provides us with a reliable market for our produce, ensuring a stable income for our families. We are excited about the opportunity to partner with HyFarm and contribute to building a more sustainable future for agriculture.”

As HyFun Foods embarks on this transformative journey through HyFarm, it remains steadfast in its commitment to leveraging fresh Indian produce, promoting responsible agriculture, and fostering prosperity for generations to come.

Earlier this month at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, HyFun Foods announced its plan to invest Rs 1,100 crore to set up three new state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Gujarat to meet the growing demand for their products in the domestic and export markets.
