Nikhil Aboti continues as the Chairman; Vicky Shah appointed Vice Chairman
Ahmedabad, March 27, 2024: The Ahmedabad Chapter of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), recently organised its annual general meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year 2023-24. PRSI Ahmedabad chapter’s AGM was held at the Board Room of the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). Some 18 members of the association remained present during the meeting.
As the members agreed upon the reshuffling of the new office bearers of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter with effect from April 1, 2024, Nikhil Aboti, founder, Kinesis Communications to continue the Chairman of the chapter. Vicky Shah, founder, Vacha Consultancy was appointed as the vice chairman.
Among other appointed office bearers were Trilok Sanghani as the Secretary; Hemant Sadkar as the Treasurer and Bijal Thakkar as the Joint Secretary.
Remaining committed to uplifting the chapter and keeping it active, Aboti, the chairman of PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter, shared elaborate plans for the chapter and its initiatives and activities for the upcoming year 2024-25.
PRSI Ahmedabad chapter is striving to expand its membership by bringing a larger section of the community of PR and communications professionals from Ahmedabad under its ambitto increase the numbers of members to at least 60 during the next year. All the members unanimously acknowledged that the number of women members in the chapter is low and necessary efforts must be made to increase their participation.
PRSI Ahmedabad chapter plans to hold the National PR Day Celebrations for the year 2024 in collaboration with the Public Relations Consultants’ Association of India (PRCAI) as well as the AMA.
Members of the chapter who will attend the maximum number of events during the year, refer the most number of memberships, help get the gross highest sponsorship during the year and the one who reaches first to a maximum of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter events will be internally rewarded by recognising their efforts during 2024-25.
The office bearers of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter appealed to all the members to duly attend the next PRSI National Conference.
During the AGM, members were updated about the membership status and activities conducted by the PRSI Ahmedabad chapter, during the year. Shah, who is currently serving as the secretary of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter, highlighted the details of the membership status and six major events conducted by the chapter during the period.
PRSI Ahmedabad chapter will appoint an independent auditor for auditing the operations and financials of the body.
The office bearers also updated the members of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter on the finances of the chapter. Sadkar, who is currently the Treasurer of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter, updated the members on inflow and outflow of funds during the tenure. Sadkar also shared how the present office bearers are focused and committed to completing all the accounting requirements including auditing which have remained pending for the past several years.
